ANNOUNCEMENT – CABLE BEACH POLO 2020 POSTPONED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS THREAT

Due to the emerging threat of a Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, Cable Beach Polo 2020 has been postponed until May 2021.
Ticket sales for the 2020 event are now suspended, and existing ticket-holders will be contacted during March 2020 and are guaranteed a refund for their ticket purchases.
Cable Beach Polo 2021 tournament is now scheduled for 22-23 May 2021.
A highlight of the international beach polo circuit, this bucket-list event attracts players, celebrities, chefs, media and guests from all around the world to spectacular Cable Beach in Broome, Western Australia.
Cable Beach Polo is a delightful combination of casual glamour, gourmet delights and great entertainment and a bucket-list event for numerous world travellers. Most guests come back year after year, making it important to get in early for the VIP Marquee and celebrity chef ‘Dinner Under The Stars’.

Pity there was no advice from polo to ticket holders when they cancelled this two weeks ago, still no communication regarding cancellation or refunds. It would be a nice move if 2020 ticket holders were offered a bonus to book again for 2021. ☹️

The Polo
Beach polo is fast and intense with a small field of 125 metres by 50 metres, so you are never far from the action. Four teams play qualifying rounds on Saturday from 10:30pm to 2:00pm and finals on Sunday from 12:30pm to 5:00pm. The field is on the beach in front of the Broome Surf Lifesaving Club.
Tickets: All the action is open to the public so plenty of locals and tourists join the action for free. For the ultimate experience, the VIP Marquee, and the Havana Club Lounge are the way to go.
Dinner Under The Stars
NOW- Saturday, May 22, 2021
Be one of 200 guests for a spectacular long-table dinner under the stars on Cable Beach and finish off with after-dinner drinks and dancing.
Our Guest Chef showcases the exceptional produce gathered from the Kimberley region, including the freshest of seafood and the exotic delicacy of pearl meat. Accompanied by French champagne, fine Australian wines and boutique beers, it is a night to be enjoyed and remembered.

The Havana Club Lounge is a relaxed cocktail bar experience perfect for enjoying all the fun and excitement of the Finals on Sunday. Located next to the VIP Marquee, it features music, visits by the players and some crazy games are part of the experience. The cash bar offers a premium range of beverages with a focus on cocktails, as well as champagne, Australian wines and beers. If you are peckish, the food vendor is serving delicious dishes ideal for a beach party. It’s a fresh, fabulous option if you’re planning a single day of polo. Join the fun, nominate as a Stampeding Stallion or a Prancing Pony and canter to the finish line to win something consumable!
